Who We Are

We are award-winning Arizona business attorneys providing approachable, streamlined legal solutions for Arizona businesses. Our approach is simple, to protect your business without standing in the way of innovation. Every business can benefit from having trusted legal counsel in their corner, and Glide Legal was built to be just that.

What We Do

We are business transactional attorneys. We protect you and your business from the legal dangers you don’t know exist. Every time you sign a contract, you legally bind yourself, whether you understand the terms or not. Whenever you enter a deal or start a new business relationship, you may be creating liabilities and obligations you never intended. Even just operating your business could subject you to any one of the thousands of state and federal regulations imposed on businesses. That’s where we come in. We provide legal counsel to businesses at every stage of development, from startup, to operation, to exit, giving you the peace of mind knowing you’re protected.

A Note About Our Pricing

Most of the time these default prices will apply, but sometimes our quote will be higher or lower depending on the complexity of your matter. Either way, when using our flat fee option, you’ll always know what you’ll pay before you hire us. For some legal needs, a more traditional retainer/hourly structure makes more sense. We’ll let you know if that is the case during your consultation.

FAQ
What type of business law do you practice?
We focus on transactional business law. Think of us as your contract and deal attorney. If your business needs contracts reviewed, drafted, or negotiated, our attorneys can help with that. If your business is being sold or if you are buying a business, our attorneys can help with that as well. Our business legal services are meant to provide legal counsel to businesses at every stage of development, from startup, to operation, to exit.
What are the benefits of a flat fee?
Flat fees provide predictability and efficiency. Typical law firms charge you at their attorneys’ hourly rates for every minute spent on your matter. You might get a loose estimate of what it will cost, but there is no limit to what the total bill will be. With a flat fee, you pay a single fee for a specific scope of work and that’s it. In other words, you know exactly what you will pay before you hire us. For some legal needs, it makes more sense for the client to have a more traditional retainer/hourly structure. We’ll let you know if that is the case during your consultation.
How long does it take to complete the work?
Our typical turnaround time is 5 business days, but it varies depending on the complexity of the work and our capacity at the time. Regardless, we always provide a promised timeframe with our flat fee quotes, so you know exactly what to expect before you hire us.
What type of clients do you serve?
Our firm is catered towards small and mid-sized Arizona businesses, though we represent everyone from startups to large, multi-million-dollar companies. We serve clients across industries, including tech companies, medical services, restaurants, real estate, and construction, to name a few.
Are you licensed to practice law in Arizona?
Yes! All of our attorneys are licensed to practice in Arizona and in good standing with the State Bar.
Why use an attorney and not just an online form?
The American legal system is incredibly complex and constantly evolving. We as attorneys are trained to develop a deep understanding of this complex system and advise based on how the laws apply to your specific situation. Though it’s easy to get a form online or attempt to draft your own contract, that decision comes with significant risk. It’s similar to attempting to diagnose or perform surgery on yourself, when you really should go to a doctor. The danger is you don’t know what you don’t know. Good attorneys provide the peace of mind that your contract was drafted correctly, while providing invaluable guidance along the way.
Is hiring an attorney worth the cost?
Absolutely. While the upfront cost may seem high, it is just a fraction of the cost of not having a strong contract in place. Lawsuits are extremely expensive, stressful, and time consuming. An ironclad contract can significantly reduce your risk of a lawsuit and liability, thus saving you time and money in the long run. For example, imagine you enter into a 50/50 partnership via oral agreement. After months of hard work, the business finally starts making some money and you’re ready to start paying yourselves. Your partner, who controls the company finances, suddenly claims that you were only ever a 10% partner and refuses to pay you your fair share. You are forced to file a lawsuit to prove that you are 50/50 partner and entitled to a larger share of the profits. A good operating agreement would have clearly set out ownership interests and distributions, drastically increasing your chances of success or avoiding the lawsuit altogether.
